PCG: Two cadavers were recovered by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iligan last Sunday, April 27 at the vicinity waters of Barangay Fuentes, Iligan City. 

The victims, identified as Javer E. Macasasa, 21 years old and Roldan M. Apas, 23 years old, have reportedly drowned while swimming in Bucana Beach Resort. 

Investigation conducted by CGS Iligan revealed that the victims went swimming around 3:20PM of the said date but was later noticed missing by one of the beach staff. 

Immediately, the joint team from the Coast Guard and beach representatives conducted a search and rescue operations at the said vicinity. At around 11:10 PM of the same date, Macasasa and Apas were sighted more or less 50 meters away from the shoreline and were confirmed to have been drowned at the said vicinity. The team immediately retrieved the cadavers.

At 11:30 PM, the remains of the drowned victims were properly turned-over to Iligan City Police Station 2 for proper disposition.

CGS Iligan personnel proceeded back to its proper station with no other untoward incident reported.
