PCG: Joint elements of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Dilasag, local police and civilian volunteers retrieved a cadaver of a mentally-ill woman at the vicinity waters of Masagana, Dilasag, Aurora yesterday, 08 May at 6:10 AM.

Initial reports revealed that Joel Corpuz, barangay chairman of Masagana, requested assistance for the recovery of the body of said victim.

Accordingly, the retrieved cadaver was identified as a certain Marissa Domingo Brigancia, married and was reported missing since April 17.

Joint search and retrieval (SAR) team immediately proceeded to the said area to conduct SAR operation.

Upon recovery, the cadaver was positively identified by her father.

Brigancia's remains was subsequently brought to Sitio Aplaya, Masagana in Dilasag and was turned-over to the victim’s relatives for proper disposition.
