PCG: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cavite and several of its sub stations are conducting search and rescue operation for a missing fisherman whose boat was hit by an unidentified cargo vessel last Saturday, 07 June 2014.

CGS Cavite disclosed that they have received a report last Sunday from the Brgy Captain of Julugan 3, Tanza, Cavite informing that an unidentified cargo vessel hit F/B Leonard 3. While one of the fishermen named Alberto Sagayno was rescued, another remains missing up to this date.

The victim was identified as Albert Pacumio, male, 48 years old of Tanza, Cavite.

Sagayno and Pacumio were reportedly fishing half a mile away from San Nicholas Shoal Lighthouse when they were accidentally hit by a blue cargo ship enroute to Manila.

Another fishing banca at a nearby vicinity came to their aid, however, Pacumio was no longer found.

CGS Cavite directed all Sub-Stations to conduct search and rescue operations for possible recovery of said missing person.
