PCG: Three sachets of illegal drugs estimated to be worth P40,000.00 were confiscated by the K9 unit of Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon (CGDNELZN) last Friday, June 20. 

Said drugs were initially found by PNP-Aparri who immediately requested assistance from CGDNELZN K9.

The unit's trained dogs positively identified the illegal drugs concealed inside an LBC package carried by a certain Paulalyn N. Magtalas, 21 years old and a resident of Brgy. Macanaya, Aparri, Cagayan.

The local police, with the presence of Magtalas, immediately opened the package and found three sachets of said illegal drugs inserted in shoes.

Investigation revealed that said illegal drugs were transported from Manila to Aparri through LBC and was claimed by Magtalas who is now under the custody of Aparri PNP for filing of appropriate charges.
