PCG: The Philippine Coast Guard has recently held Turn-Over of Command ceremonies for the PCG Headquarters Support Group (HSG) and BRP Corregidor last week.

PCG Commandant, Vice Admiral Rodolfo D Isorena, spearheaded the Turn-Over of Command ceremony of HSG last 03 July at the Commandant’s Office at PCG Headquarters.

Former Commander of Coast Guard Base Taguig, CAPT ANGELITO G GIL PCG, assumed the duties and responsibilities as the new Commander of HSG from outgoing Commander, CDR REYNALDO F PABICO PCG.

Meanwhile, Chief of Coast Guard Staff, Commodore and Acting Commander of Coast Guard Fleet  Joselito F Dela Cruz, led the Turn-Over of Command of BRP Corregidor (AE-891) at the Headquarters Coast Guard Ready Force in Port Area, Manila last 04 July.

Outgoing Commanding Officer of BRP Corregidor, LCDR LUDOVICO D LIBRILLA PCG turned-over the helm to his successor CAPT JOSEPH B BADAJOS PCG. 

A Distinguished Service Medal was awarded to CDR LIBRILLA PCG for his meritorious and valuable service during his stint as the Commander Officer of the vessel.

CDR LIBRILLA PCG is the first Coast Guard Officers Course (CGOC) graduate who received a Command-at-Sea badge for successfully completing his Commanding Officer’s billet aboard PCG vessel.

He was previously assigned at the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) vessels MCS-3008, MCS-3001, MCS-3004 and MCS-3009; PCG search and rescue vessels (SARV) BRP Romblon (SARV-3503); and PCG buoy tender, BRP Corregidor (AE-891) for his junior and senior billet.
