PCG: Three teenagers died from drowning after falling off an unmarked fishing canoe at the Ansalangan River, Negros Occidental.Β
The victims identified as Jason Baladhay, 17; Michael Kint Pueda, 17; and Roniel Milaflores, 19, were reportedly fishing with two others along Ansalangan River last Monday, July 14, when their boat was carried away by strong river surge.
The three teenagers fell off the boat and disappeared.
Pueda and Milaflores were later recovered at the Moises Padilla River in Brgy. Tinungan by the local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and were brought to Magallon Homes, Isabela for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, Baladja was found dead at Brgy. San Juan River in Binalbagan City in the morning of July 18. The incident was reported by Barangay Captain Rachael Abalona to Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) HinigaranΒ
The cadaver was positively identified by his immediate family.
Baladhay, a freshman student of TESDA, is a resident of Crossing Magallon, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.
