PCG: The body of Fernan M. Tolentino, 20 years old, was recovered by Coast Guard Sub Sub-Station (CGSS) Concepcion last Saturday, August 23 at the shoreline of Sitio Nipa Brgy. Bay-ang, Ajuy, Iloilo.

Tolentino was reported missing last Friday, August 22, when SMV Loader barge accidentally hit the fishing boat Prince Armiel causing all fishermen to fall overboard.

CGSS Concepcion received information from local folks of said barangay that there is a floating cadaver approximately 35 meters away from the shoreline. Immediately, the team coordinated with the Brgy Captain of Brgy. Bay-ang Ajuy to retrieve the said cadaver.

Felbe M. Tolentino a resident of Brgy Alacayan, Banate, Iloilo positively identified the cadaver as his son. 

Fernan was onboard Prince Armiel, along with six others, when it was hit by SMV Loader around 4:20AM last August 22 at Tomonton Point, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.

The cadaver was brought to Banate Funeral Homes for proper disposition.
