PCG: Rear Admiral William M Melad PCG takes his oath before DOTC Secretary Jun Abaya at the Department of Transportation and Communications after his promotion was signed by Pres. Benigno Aquino III. An arrival honor was rendered at the Headquarters Coast Guard Ready Force at 5 PM today.

RADM Melad, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class Matikas of 1983 and a graduate of Master of Science in Maritime Safety Administration at the World Maritime University is presently the District Commander of Coast Guard District Central Visayas.
