PCG: A 25-year old Chinese seafarer was medically evacuated by the Philippine Coast Guard yesterday, September 8, when he was struck by sudden illness while onboard M/V Everwin at vicinity 55 nautical miles North West off Port Laoang, Northern Samar.Β
The crew, identified as Wang Chaoyue, reportedly had difficulty in breathing.
Capt. Liu Shengmin, captain of the TOSCO (The Oil Shale Corporation) Keymax International Ship Management, immediately requested assistance from the Coast Guard.
Upon receipt of report, elements of the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Borongan conducted a medical evacuation for Chaoyue and brought him to the Port of Borongan and was subsequently brought by the medevac team to the Borongan Hospital for medical treatment
