PCG. A motorbanca with 48 passengers and seven crew onboard went partially submerged at vicinity of Cordova Point, Lapu-Lapu City after it encountered big waves and strong winds while enroute to Getafe, Bohol from Pasil Wharf, Cebu yesterday, September 19, 2014 around 3:15 PM.

Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) in Mandaue, Cebu and Special Operations Unit–Central Visayas (SOU-CV) were immediately alerted to conduct search and rescue operations.

All passengers and crew onboard were rescued.
