PCG: The elements of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Dumangas are still searching for fisherman David Grino who went missing one nautical mile from Dumangas Port, Iloilo yesterday, September 30.

Grino was reportedly fishing with his son Aljohn onboard F/bca RJ Beach Resort when their aft was hit by RoRo vessel LCT GT Express 1.

The fishermen were forced to jump overboard while Aljohn tried to rescue his father by throwing a floating device. Grino failed to reach the device and drowned. As Aljohn reached the shore to seek for help, the personnel of CGSS Dumangas immediately conducted a search and rescue operations but yielded negative results.

CGSS Dumangas informed all coastal barangays in their area of responsibility and all passing vessels in Dumangas pier to be on the look-out for Grino.
