PCG: A drowned fisherman was found entangled on a fishing net last Sunday, October 12, at the vicinity sea waters of Barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City. 

The victim identified as Darrel Quijano reportedly went on a fishing venture around 5:00AM at the said area but failed to return home.

His body was later found floating by Vilma Rojo, a resident of said barangay.

Upon receipt of said report, Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCEV) deployed the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cebu, Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Mandaue and Special Operations Unit-Central Visayas to recover the cadaver of Quijano.

The joint search and rescue team successfully retrieved the dead body that was found entangled on fishing net. Quijano's remains were properly turned-over to his relatives and was brought to Surelife Funeral Services for proper disposition.
