PCG: Six passengers and two crew members of a submerged motor boat were saved by the Coast Guard from imminent drowning in Roxas, Palawan last Sunday, 19 October.
The incident was reported by Benjie Carandang of the Palawan MDRRMC to Coast Guard Station (CGS) Puerto Princesa. Said station deployed the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Roxas to conduct search and rescue operations for the distressed motor boat off the vicinity waters of Modessa Island Resort.
All passengers were found in good physical condition and were immediately transferred onboard AB-067.
The submerged boat was then towed to Modessa Island Resort where it was secured by the crew.
