PCG: A missing fisherman, who was the subject of search and rescue operation by the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Dilasag in Aurora, was rescued by a passing motor banca at the vicinity waters of Dinadiawan, Dipaculao, Aurora last Friday, November 21.

CGSS Dilasag was conducting surface search and rescue along the coastal waters of Dicabasan, Masagan and Diniog in Dilasag, Aurora when they received a cellphone call from a Mrs. Rosemarie Dulay informing that her husband was rescued by a passing motorbanca around 6 AM on Friday.

According to the rescued fisherman, he encountered engine trouble while conducting fishing venture 15 NM from the shoreline of Barangay Diniog, Dilasag, Aurora and drifted off the waters of Dinadiawan due to strong current.

The unmarked motor banca towed the distressed fishing boat of Dulay back to the shoreline of said barangay and brought him to health center of Barangay Dinadiawan, Dipaculao,Aurora for medical assistance.
