PCG: The Coast Guard in Manila have successfully retrieved the cadaver of an 8-year old girl who drowned while trying to retrieve her ball in a river in Barangay Masambong, Quezon City on November 30, Sunday.

The cadaver was identified as Annterence Flujo, a resident of Barangay No. 19 Apolonio, Samson, Quezon City.

Coast Guard Station (CGS) Manila received a report from personnel of Coast Guard District National Capital Region-Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL) informing that there was a drowning incident at said area where the joint team of CGS Manila and Special Operations Group (SOG) was immediately dispatched to conduct underwater retrieval operation.

Said team then retrieved the body of Flujo and turned-over to her aunt, Miss Rosadel Lita for proper disposition.
