The Philippine Coast Guard conducted a two-day Marine Environmental Protection (MEP) Conference at The Hub,  Kilometer Zero, Rizal Park in Manila on December 1 & 2, 2014.
       
The MEP Conference aims to address mitigation and adaptation activities to lessen the effects of climate change which is one of the major environmental problems in the country. The conference also updated the memorandum circulars covering the protection of marine environment. The workshop was participated by the Officers and Non-Officers of the Marine Environmental Protection Command (MEPCOM).
