PCG: The Philippine Coast Guard in Tacloban have successfully rescued a teenager at the vicinity waters off Cancabato Bay in between Balyuan and San Jose, Tacloban City at the height of Typhoon Ruby (International name: Hagupit) yesterday, 07 December.
 
Reports revealed that Coast Guard Station (CGS) Tacloban received a call from Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council Region-VIII (RDRRMC R8) requesting for assistance to rescue a certain Raymart Decarte who was found floating at said vicinity.
 
The Quick Response Team (QRT) of CGS Tacloban was immediately deployed at the area and rescued Raymart who was found clinging on to a submerged banca. He has also sustained wounds in his body.

According to LT PAUL RYAN C GONZALES PCG, CGS Tacloban Station Commander, the victim cannot ascertain other details of the incident because he is still incoherent and delirious.
 
The victim was then turned over to Tacloban Rescue Unit and was brought to Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center for further medical assistance.
