PCG: An unidentified male cadaver was recovered by the Coast Guard at the vicinity waters of Lapuz Norte, Iloilo a day after Christmas.
The cadaver was found around 6:00 am by Capt. Arnold Propangue Jr., master of LCT Padico of FF Cruz Shipping Corp.
Coast Guard Station (CGS) Iloilo immediately responded to Capt. Propangue's call and retrieved the floating body.
The cadaver was described as follows: male, medium built with clean cut hair, undetermined age, 5’4” to 5’5” in height, wearing white t-shirt tuck on his black pants with black belt and barefoot. A cell phone and a handkerchief were also found on his pants.
The body was earlier sighted by FO2 Christian Linga of the Bureau of Fire Protection along the Iloilo River, but SAR operatives failed to locate cadaver which drifted to Lapuz Norte.
The cadaver was turned-over to the personnel of PNP Lapuz Sub-Station Iloilo for further investigation and was later brought to Amparo Funeral Homes for proper disposition.
