PCG: The 14 year-old boy who was reported missing last December 29 in Pamplona, Cagayan was found lifeless by the Coast Guard Search and Rescue (SAR) team at the vicinity waters near Pamplona Bridge around 2:00 pm yesterday.

Genghis Dascil's body was seen floating at the said area in Barangay Masi and was immediately retrieved by the SAR team and civilian volunteers.

The SAR team included personnel from the Coast Guard District North Eastern Luzon (CGDNELZN), Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Claveria and civilian volunteers from Brgy. Masi.

The cadaver was positively identified by his family and was later brought to St. Peter Funeral Homes for proper disposition.

Investigation revealed that Dascil suddenly disappeared while swimming with relatives last December 29, and was believed to have drowned.
