DOTC-PCG: The lifeless body of a fisherman in Tayabas Bay, Quezon was recovered by the elements of the Philippine Coast Guard on the same day when he reportedly fell overboard while fishing last Saturday, December 14.

The victim, identified as Felipe Caballes, accidentally fell overboard from his unregistered motorboat while conducting fishing activities around 5:45AM of the said day.

Upon receipt of said report from a certain Allan Parale, the personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Dalahican immediately conducted search and rescue (SAR) operations onboard a hired motorboat.

Caballes' cadaver was seen and recovered around 8:30AM and was brought to Ilaya, Dalahican beside Coast Guard Station (CGS) Lucena where it was turned over to relatives and the PNP-SOCO headed by SPO1 Randy Patorfide for autopsy and further investigation.
