DOTC-PCG: The Philippine Coast Guard in Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte continues searching for a 21-year old tourist who went missing at the Bangui Power Plant in the afternoon of Christmas.

According to a report received by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Curimaw from P/Insp Tabayan of PNP-Bangui, the victim Mark Ale went to Bangui Power Plant with his cousin to take pictures but was suddenly swept away by big waves.

Further reports revealed that Ale, a resident of Laguna Province, drifted to sea and was believed to have drowned and eventually went missing.

The personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Pagudpod together with PNP-Bangui proceeded to Barangay Baruyen, Bangui to conduct search and rescue (SAR) operation for Ale, but yielded negative result.

The search team also had to temporarily halt the SAR operations due to unfavorable sea and weather condition and will resume as soon as weather permits.
