A male cadaver was sighted floating along the vicinity shoreline of Barangay, Tarangotong, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur on December 29, 2013.

Reports revealed that at around 930 AM of the said date, Coast Guard Sub-Station Candon received a cellphone call from ENS TARCLENO ROSUENA PN (retired), resident of Barangay Libtong, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, informing that a certain LT ALVIN LAGRIA PAF, 29 years old, single and resident of Barangay Libtong, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur was drowned while swimming in a beach in the said barangay.

Immediately, Coast Guard Sub-Station Candon personnel proceeded to the drowning site to conduct search and retrieval operation together with the relatives and neighbors of the said victim.

At 11 AM, the victim was sighted along the said vicinity and retrieved by Coast Guard team.

The body of the victim was brought to the nearest hospital of Tagudin, Ilocos Sur but was later declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Afterwards, the cadaver was turned over to his family for proper disposition.
