
DOTC-PCG: The Philippine Coast Guard in Aparri, Cagayan continues searching for a 60-year old fisherman who went missing after the motorboat carrying him and his two fellow fishermen capsized around 2:00 AM yesterday, December 05.
Andring Agasa remains missing when their unmarked motorboat capsized at the vicinity waters of Barangay Linao and Barangay Punta in Aparri. Meanwhile, Elizer Zolangon, 35 years old and Wilmar Raquiño, 40 years old, managed to swim to the nearest shoreline.
According to the report made by PO3 Emmanuel Padul of the Philippine National Police (PNP), the fishermen went on a fishing venture 10:00 PM last Wednesday onboard a motorboat described to be painted orange and blue.
Upon receipt and verification of said report, the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Aparri immediately loaned two motorboats for the conduct of search and rescue operation for Agasa. The search was temporarily terminated, however, due to rough seas.
The SAR operation by CGS Aparri continues today for the missing elderly fisherman.
