DOTC-PCG: An unnamed motorboat with four persons onboard was successfully towed to safety by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cuyo when it suddenly went dead on water yesterday, December 04. 
 
According to a report received from the barangay captain of Bisucay Island in Cuyo, Palawan, the motorboat's cross joint accidentally broke due to rough seas while it was underway for Cuyo.
 
The boat, described to be colored white and light blue, was manned by two crew members and loaded with two passengers when the incident occurred 7:30AM of Wednesday.
Immediately upon receipt of said report, elements of CGS Cuyo onboard borrowed M/Bca Mergie Lean proceeded to the said area to conduct search and rescue operation.
 
By 10:50AM, the SAR team sighted the distressed motor boat floating approximately 15 miles west off Bararing Island in Cuyo, Palawan and immediately towed it to Cuyo Pier.
 
The crew members identified as Enriquito Gabuco, 54 years old and Edgar Opiaso, 51 years old; and the passengers Dennis Parangue 25 years old and Jonalyn Jagsi, 33 years old  were found in good physical condition by the Coast Guard. 
 
The SAR operations was terminated and to Coast Guard personnel returned the proper station without any untoward incident.
