The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued two local fishermen aboard a distressed fishing boat at the vicinity waters off Barangay Kalaklan, Olongapo City on 30 January 2021.

The rescued individuals were identified as 26-year-old Carlo Cinco and 23-year-old Charlie Cinco.

The search and rescue (SAR) team found out that they went on a fishing venture using a small fishing boat with no engine. When said boat started to drift away from the shoreline due to its failure to withstand the sea condition, the fishermen decided to call for rescue assistance.

The SAR team brought the rescued individuals to the Baraca Pier where they were further assisted by personnel of the PCG Station in Zambales for proper turn-over to their families.
