Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral George V Ursabia Jr, together with other senior Coast Guard officers, warmly welcomed Consul General of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines, Lee Kyoo Ho who paid a courtesy visit at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila yesterday, 18 February 2021.

During the meeting, Admiral Ursabia committed to further enhance diplomatic relationship between the Philippines and South Korea, specifically in the pursuit of maritime security and capacity building.

For his part, Consul General Lee reassured the Command of the Embassy’s continued support to Coast Guard operations.

He also expressed his gratitude to PCG's assistance to ensure the safety of the crew of Korean fishing vessel, FV No. 96 Oyang that reported fire onboard at the vicinity waters off Panganiban, Catanduanes on 27 January 2021.
