The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) K9 Force, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), confiscated a total of 50 grams of illegal drugs locally known as 'shabu' aboard M/V Asian Star II at the Zamboanga City Port yesterday, 02 March 2021.

During paneling inspection, Coast Guard Working Dog (CGWD) Cali detected said illegal items with an estimated market value of Php 340,000 inside a plastic package owned by a 39-year-old passenger — a resident of Barangay Guiwan, Zamboanga City.

The confiscated 'shabu' and its owner were properly turned-over to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Zamboanga Police Station and subsequently brought to the Crime Laboratory for further investigation and proper disposition.
