The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) deployed two aerial assets to assist the Department of Health (DOH) in transporting COVID-19 vaccines in the MiMaRoPa region on 05 March 2021.

PCG pilots, Commander Jose Mari C Cucharo and Commander Alejo C Suare of the Coast Guard Aviation Force (CGAF) ensured the safe and swift air transport of seven boxes of SINOVAC VACCINES to Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro (two boxes); Calapan, Oriental Mindoro (three boxes); Gasan, Marinduque (one box); and Alcantara, Romblon (one box).

Frontline medical workers in said provinces shall receive the first batch of the vaccines in preparation for the massive inoculation drive against COVID-19 in the region.
