A total of 24 frontline personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Siquijor received AstraZeneca vaccine – the FIRST BATCH among the men and women of the PCG – during the inoculation drive spearheaded by the provincial government at the Dugokanan Sa Kapitolyo in Siquijor, Siquijor yesterday, 18 March 2021.

The Provincial Government of Siquijor initiated the activity to ensure ALL FRONTLINE WORKERS IN THE PROVINCE, including the men and women of the Coast Guard, IMMEDIATELY RECEIVE PROTECTION against the threat of the contagious virus as they perform critical roles amid the pandemic.

The batch of PCG personnel who were vaccinated in Siquijor actively assists the Provincial Government in upholding PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY by ensuring strict compliance with minimum health standards among residents and by implementing embarkation and disembarkation protocols among returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), locally stranded individuals (LSIs), and authorized persons outside residence (APORs).
