The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has rescued five passengers of a fishing banca that encountered engine trouble in the vicinity waters off Barangay Butag, Bulan, Sorsogon, on 07 March 2025.

At around 4PM, FB Veni Vidi Veci encountered engine overheating while transiting said waters en route to Matnog Port.

Based on the investigation, this resulted in the loss of maneuverability, causing it to be drifted by big waves and strong current.

The Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Bulan swiftly responded to the incident and rescued all passengers on board, who were all in good physical condition.
