This is an update regarding the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)βs seizure of nine sacks containing alleged illegal drugs along the coast of Barangay Sisiman, Mariveles, Bataan, yesterday, 02 June 2025.
The said law enforcement initiative is anchored on President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr.βs instruction for the uniformed services and concerned government agencies to intensify operations towards the eradication illegal drugs in the country.
According to the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Bataan, the inventory revealed a total of 222.655 kilograms of alleged methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as βshabu,β with an estimated market value of 890,620,000 pesos.
The joint law enforcement team also confirmed a total of ten sacks, instead of nine as earlier reported, containing suspected narcotics.
βWe identified four sacks containing 100 vacuum-sealed packs labeled βFreeso Dried Durien,β five sacks with 116 vacuum-sealed packs labeled βDaguanyin,β and one sack with seven transparent packsβeach pack containing suspected shabu,β the CGS Bataan shared.
After the determination of the estimated market value conducted by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) continued labeling the evidence, which will be transported to the PDEA National Headquarters in Quezon City for validation and confirmatory laboratory testing.
