A total of 859 residents benefitted during the medical mission conducted by the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Rizal in Brgy. Malakaban, Talim Island on 31 May 2025.
Guided by its humanitarian objective that reflects the Philippine Coast Guardβs steadfast commitment to community service, this pre-anniversary activity of CGS Rizal is undertaken in alignment with the strategic direction of President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr., to advance public welfare and nation-building.
During said activity, CGS Rizal provided free medical, dental, and optical care, HIV screening, blood sugar testing, urinalysis, legal consultations, veterinary aid, and online health consultations via mWell. Also, the community enjoyed the face painting as well as the toys and clothing distributed to them.
According to CGS Rizal, these contributions greatly enhanced healthcare access and support to the Talim Island community.
Moreover, the CGS Rizal thanked the Coast Guard Medical (CGMED) NCR, CG Nursing Service (CGNS), Civil Relations Group (CRG) NCR, Legal Service NCR, MWELL, Round Table Makati 1, CGS Rizal Operational Control Units, and the 102nd, 109th, 114th, 115th, 124th, and 126th Auxiliary Squadrons for there efforts and collaborative pursuit.
