Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan PCG, welcomed the Commission On Elections (COMELEC), Commissioner Aimee Ferolino, who paid a courtesy visit at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila, on 16 June 2025.

As envisioned by President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr., the continuing partnership between COMELEC and the PCG will consistently aid in securing fair, peaceful, and accessible election.

During said undertaking, Commissioner Ferolino expressed her gratitude for the PCG’s support during previous elections, particularly in the transport of election materials and ensuring security in remote and coastal areas.

Both parties discussed ways to improve coordination for future electoral exercises. Commissioner Ferolino shared plans to provide targeted training for PCG personnel assigned to election-related duties while Admiral Gavan PCG affirmed the PCG’s full support and readiness to assist COMELEC, especially in high-risk locations across the country.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to upholding electoral integrity through strong inter-agency cooperation.
