The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) participated in the 4th National Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center (JPSCC) meeting held in Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), General Headquarters, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City yesterday, 18 June 2025.

The said meeting is in line with President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr.’s vision to reinforce interagency collaboration among the tri-partite forces in addressing evolving national security challenges and ensuring that responses are both efficient and aligned across agencies.

PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG; Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr; and Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Nicolas Torre III; presided over the discussions which is centered on enhancing the tri-partite forces' interagency cooperation and evaluating the significant achievements and progress made by the National JPSCC Cells.

The key highlight of the meeting was the ceremonial signing of key policy instruments that reflect the united and unwavering commitment of the AFP, the PNP, and the PCG. These landmark agreements signify a strengthened and renewed drive toward unified, well-coordinated actions.

Moreover, the three agencies underscored the vital importance of sustained collaboration among the tri-partite forces in upholding national peace, stability, and public safety. They emphasized that consistent coordination, mutual support, and unified action are not only key to maintaining internal order, but also to ensuring the effective protection of the country’s borders against external threats. The top officials reiterated that unity of purpose and collective responsibility are fundamental in overcoming evolving security challenges and in achieving lasting operational success across all areas of engagement.

The JPSCC continues to serve as a solid cornerstone for the unified efforts, strategic planning, coordinated operations, and military initiatives of the three entities. It is instrumental in fostering synergy among the forces, especially in the face of ongoing challenges and emerging threats to national security. By promoting a unified direction and shared mission, the JPSCC plays a crucial role in protecting the nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity through cohesive and collaborative action.
