The Coast Guard Logistics Systems CommandΒ (CGLSC) launched the Electronic Inventory Management System (EIMS) in Manila on August 12, 2025.

Said undertaking amplified President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr's vision in improving digitalization and modernization.

The Philippine Coast GuardΒ (PCG) conducted an oil spill simulation exercise at the Port of Ormoc City, Leyte, on August 8, 2025.

The said exercise amplified President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr.’s mandate for the PCG to strengthen its preparedness and response capabilities by evaluating and refining procedures for swift and effective actions during oil spill incidents. It also sought to enhance inter-agency coordination and ensure the protection of marine ecosystems through proper containment, recovery, and mitigation measures.

β€ŽAt the conclusion of the exercise, debriefings and evaluations were held to identify strengths and address areas for improvement in oil spill response protocols, further bolstering the readiness and resilience of participating teams.

The Philippine Coast GuardΒ (PCG) conducted a medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) for one crew member of a MTKR High SD Yihe in the vicinity waters off Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, on August 12, 2025.

The pursuit was in compliance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive for the PCG to conduct rapid action and ensure smooth coordination to maintain maritime safety.

According to the ship agent, the crew member who suffered from a heart attack serves as the Boatswain Mate of MTKR High SD Yihe, a 59-year-old Indian national.

The Philippine Coast GuardΒ (PCG) inspected the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Taft Avenue Station footbridge together with Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon today August 12,2025.

It was made possible through the steadfast support of PCG’s dedicated partners, including the Local Government Unit of Siaton, Marine Conservation Philippines, Pro Ocean, and the Siaton Fisherfolk and Workers Association (SIFWA) and in partnership with the Marine Environmental Protection Enforcement and Response Group–Southern Visayas and the Coast Guard Special Operations Group–Southern Visayas.

A total of 15 sacks of assorted garbage from both land and sea were successfully collected by the 72 participants covering approximately 1,000 meters of coastal and underwater zones.
