1. Reference: Radio Message from Commander, Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas dated 22 August 2018.
2. Per above reference, Coast Guard Sub-Station San Juan, Maritime Safety Services Unit (MSSU) Eastern Visayas together with the Local Government of Silago, Southern Leyte successfully finished the construction of the lighthouse tower and installation of a secondary three-in-one self-contained lantern for new Light Station Silago on 31 May 2018. LS SILAGO, located at Pela Darock Island, Silago Southern Leyte at Latitude 10 degs 33 mins 18 secs North, Longitude 125 degs 11 mins 27 secs East with light characteristic of Flashing Two (2) White Every Five (5) seconds, is REPORTED AS OPERATING.
3. In this connection, all ships/watercrafts transiting the vicinity of the above mentioned areas are advised to take note of the information and take necessary precautionary measures at all times.

1. Reference: Letter of Instruction Nr. 0718-018 South East Asia Cooperation and Training (SEACAT) Exercise 2018 dated 09 August 2018.
2. The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will participate in the actual South East Asia Cooperation and Training (SEACAT) Exercise 2018 from 27 August to 07 September 2018. SEACAT Exercise 2018, organized and led by the United States Navy, is a maritime security information-sharing exercise that addresses maritime security challenges like smuggling, piracy and other illicit activities at sea. The said exercise will be conducted in the area bounded by the following coordinates:
