Responding swiftly to the potential danger posed by continuous rainfall caused by a Low Pressure Area and the Southwest Monsoon, the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Mamburao, in close coordination with CGSS Paluan, provided vital assistance to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Mamburao during the conduct of a pre-emptive evacuation operation in Sitio Aroma, Barangay Tayamaan, Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro on the evening of 22 July 2025.

Through this coordinated effort, residents were safely and orderly relocated to the designated evacuation center at the PAGCOR Building in Barangay 9, Mamburao.

The operation prioritized the safety and well-being of the community, successfully assisting 74 families—comprising approximately 281 individuals, including 146 children and 12 infants.

This mission underscores the Coast Guard’s crucial support role in disaster response operations and its continued commitment to protecting lives, especially in times of crisis.
