1. Reference: Letter from Mr. Arnel Operations-Port Agency Services BENLINE Agencies Phil. Inc. dated February 23, 2017.
2. The Pacific Light Cable Network (PLCN) is a point trans-Pacific undersea fiber optic telecommunication cable that will link Hong Kong and Los Angeles (USA) with a potential for additional connectivity to Taiwan and Philippines. A marine survey will be carried out prior installation. The route survey of complete cable system will be carried out by EGS (Asia) Ltd thru R/V NORTHERN ENDEAVOUR as the survey contractor appointed by Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications LLC (Te Subcom). The job at Philippines water will start from March 13 2017 and be completed on April 11 2017. Attached is the route position list Pacific Light Network Segment 1.1 to 1.4 for reference.
3. In this connection, all ships/watercrafts transiting the vicinity of the abovementioned areas are advised to take note of the information and take necessary precautionary measures at all times.

EGS Asia Inc., a Hongkong based company with its Philippine associate company, EGS Asia Inc. has been contracted by Huawei Networks a contractor of National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) to conduct the Route Marine Survey for the existing HVDC Submarine Power Cables between Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon and Cabacungan, Allen, Northern Samar (San Bernardino Strait) to check position of the existing cable as it might shifted over the years.The survey will be undertaken between 20 March 2017 and 20 May 2017 using a survey vessels MV “NORTHERN ICE” for offshore survey and a local suitable survey banca for inshore survey on areas bounded by the following coordinates:
