The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing maritime safety and security during the Second MARINA-PCG Forum held in Manila on 02 December 2024.
The event, themed "Combined Strategies for Enhancing Maritime Safety Towards a Safer and Sustainable Maritime Industry," brought together key officials from both institutions to discuss pressing issues and explore collaborative solutions.
PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG highlighted the importance of strong cooperation and excellent relationship between the two agencies, emphasizing the need for open communication and alignment of regulations to ensure a more efficient, safe and secure maritime industry.

Lieutenant Junior Grade Cyril Pearl Magbanua PCG, Deputy Commander of the Coast Guard Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive Force (CGCBRNEF), under the Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC) along with four other female officers from the United States Coast Guard (USCG), served as part of the Training Directorate for two Introductory Boarding Officer Courses from 25 November to 06 December 2024.
These courses were designed for the operations support personnel of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Vietnam wherein majority of whom are women.
The initiative supported INL Vietnam's advocacy to involve more women and provide them with a broader platform in the field of Maritime Law Enforcement (MLE). It also enhanced the operational staff's understanding of the boarding process, increase women support staff's confidence in participating in MLE operations, and strengthen the agency's overall MLE capacity.

Upang ipadama ang diwa ng Pasko, namahagi ang Coast Guard Station Occidental Mindoro katuwang ang Coast Guard Sub-Station San Jose ng food packs sa mga mangingisdang pumapalaot sa katubigang sakop ng San Jose, Occidental, Mindoro noong ika-07 ng Disyembre 2024.
Ang bawat food packs ay naglalaman ng bigas, noodles, at de lata, na may layuning makatulong sa pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan ng mga mangingisda.
Dahil dito, lubos ang pasasalamat ng mga benepisyaryo sa tulong na kanilang natanggap.
