The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) congratulates CG COMMANDER (CDR) JOMARK ANGUE for being the FIRST PCG OFFICER who completed MASTER OF ARTS IN SECURITY STUDIES (COMBATING TERRORISM: POLICY AND STRATEGY) at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California from 13 December 2020 to 25 March 2022.
CG Commander Angue was one of the 24 foreign military students out of the 248 students who took the course, and one of the five officers who earned the said degree.
The curriculum helped the students in formulating policies on counterterrorism. It provided an opportunity for the students to combine a regional focus with comparative courses and to understand the nature and dynamics of terrorist organizations, as well as domestic and international variables involved in the formulation of counterterrorism policies.
PCG gears up preps for Lenten, Summer seasons

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu has directed all Coast Guard units nationwide to ensure the readiness of its personnel, land vehicles, and floating assets for deployment in anticipation of the increase in maritime-related activities these Lenten and Summer seasons.
During the Monday flag-raising ceremony at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila this morning, 28 March 2022, CG Admiral Abu said all PCG floating assets and equipment must be at the highest level of preparedness to respond properly to possible emergencies at sea.
Additional K9 units, medical teams, and deployable response groups on major seaports shall also be dispatched to increase Coast Guard visibility, manage port passengers, and oversee maritime traffic.
PCG, kaisa ng DSWD sa pagpoprotekta sa mga katutubo laban sa human trafficking

Inihayag ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang pagsuporta nito sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa pagpoprotekta sa mga katutubo laban sa "human trafficking."
Sa pagbisita ni DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo sa Zamboanga City kahapon, ika-29 ng Nobyembre 2022, inilatag ni PCG District Southwestern Mindanao Commander, CG Commodore Marco Antonio Gines, ang mga inisiyatibo ng Coast Guard para malabanan ang human trafficking ng mga katutubo.
Kabilang dito ang mas mahigpit na inspeksyon sa mga pantalan at pagpalalawak ng kooperasyon sa lokal na pamahalaan para maingatan ang kapakanan ng mga ito.
