Probationary Ensign (P/ENS) Mischelle Balico PCG of Coast Guard District Southern Visayas (CGDSV) is a proud graduate of Mindanao State University in General Santos City. She earned her degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English. She is a consistent academic achiever and maintained an academic scholarship throughout her tertiary education, demonstrating her dedication to excellence and lifelong learning.
P/ENS Balico began her Coast Guard career in 2010 as an enlisted personnel. Throughout her service, she took on key assignments, including Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Headquarters, Coast Guard District Western Visayas and Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command. These experiences provided her with a strong foundation in operations, personnel management, and training.
In 2024, seeking career growth and greater responsibility, P/ENS Balico pursued her dream of becoming a commissioned officer. She joined Cost Guard Officers' Course Class 30-2023 and graduated at the top of her class, a testament to her unwavering commitment and perseverance. This achievement led to her current assignment at the CGDSV, where she serves as the Assistant Deputy Chief of District Staff for Human Resource Management and the Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person.

Alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr, matagumpay na naihatid ng BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV-9701) ang mahigit 14,000 na kahon ng Family Food Packs (FFP) mula sa Department of Social Welfare and Development - DSWD sa Batanes kahapon, ika-20 ng Marso 2025.
Ang nasabing family food packs ay nanggaling mula sa South Harbor, Manila at ibiniyahe noong ika-18 ng Marso 2025.
Sa pagtutulungan ng Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Navy (PN), Philippine Navy Marines, Philippine Air Force (PAF), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Local Government Unit (LGU) DSWD kasama ang mga lokal na mga residente sa Batanes, sabay-sabay nilang diniskarga ang mga nasabing FFP.
Ang hakbang na ito ay bahagi ng programang “Bagong Pilipinas” na naglalayong tiyakin ang paghahanda ng bansa sa lahat ng sakuna.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted a medical evacuation (medevac) for one of the crew members of a Liberian-flagged bulk carrier, MV Bulk Tirreno on 15 March 2025.
At around 9AM on 15 March, BRP Malapascua (MRRV-4403) received a phone call from Coast Guard District Palawan (CGDPAL) informing that an injured crew needs a medical evacuation.
Immediately, MRRV-4403 deployed a medevac team that proceeded to the rendezvous area located in the vicinity waters off Bancao, Palawan.
